ANTONIO IOLI is Italian.
He was born in the south of Italy, grew up in the north and now lives and works in Rome.
He likes to cook his own fare.
He studied the fine art of photography only to then break all the rules.
He knows the darkroom like the back of his hand, which allows him to develop photographs in black and white digital processing.
He adores books and still prefers the good old pencil and paper.
He has forever been fascinated with imperfections of plastic lens, he once used the Holga lens, while using digital backs on an optical bench.
He learned to live by making mistakes.
He has even taught landscape photography courses at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Rome.
“I love the sun, the sea and women, not necessary in this order.”
